Having just recently changed vehicle to a Mini (from a Land Rover as it

Hi everyone, I am posting this for a friend who has just picked up a new
mini diesel.  He has found that getting reverse gear is very very hard

reverse at 27 pounds.

Indicator/hazard fault05 Nov 2003 23:17 GMT11
I have an SPI cooper 1993 that has a recurring problem with blowing the
inline fuse for the indicator, hazard warning and interior light. The car
has an original fit rover alarm that is supposed to flash the indicators
when it is armed. If I fit a new fuse and test the indicators ...

modified head for the Twin point injection04 Nov 2003 19:28 GMT10
Who makes the modified head for the Twin point injection?
Given that this engine can only produce about 80 bhp with the standard ecu
and no overfueling. Is a stage 2 head good enough? what constitutes a stage
2? Ported only? larger inlet valves? Or is stage 3 with bigger inlet ...

My curiousity arroused by the recent "Winterising a mini" thread, how well
do Minis (Classic Minis) handle winter?
My first and last car was a Mini, but I've since relocated to Northern
Michigan. I want another Mini as soon as soon as cashflow allows (I'm
Metro Engines03 Nov 2003 13:07 GMT1

MG Metro 1275 just put in.  Serious problems02 Nov 2003 23:15 GMT5
I have just put the above engine in my mini.... everything ready to
go... it starts no problem, idles no problem, and seems to rev on the

to the point where the only real way to move the car is to slip the
Automatic Gearbox Repairs01 Nov 2003 12:26 GMT15
I have a 1990 metro Automatic , the gearbox seems to lack power and when you
pull away it just makes a lot of Squealing noise until it is moving. I
