I'm trying to replace the earth strap on the engine (1.3i spi) which runs between the two ends of the upper engine steady. As I had to take the bolt out I thought I would at the same time replace the bushes. My problem is that having taken the bolt out, I cannot for the life of me ...

I would like to put a 1300 austin america engine and trans (auto) in my 1968 mk1 mini (van). I have found the donor car and I can take what I want for $800.00. I think that is a bit to much. What can I use off of it to turn my car (standard or aleast it was )?

I have a 1996 1.3i Mini and my exhaust back box has just blown ! Can anyone recommend a replacement system preferably stainless steel and wider bore than standard but not too pricey and loud! Will I need to replace the Cat as part of the system? I haven't replaced an exhaust on this ...

I have aquired a recon 1100 for my 78 clubie. But it is currently attached to a 71 Gearbox ie wand change & early unis. How much work is it to split them and attach to a spare 78 box that I have? Will I need any MINI specific tools? Are the reqired gasgets cheap?

I was looking at retro fitting Mk1 type equipment into the pickup and was wondering what would need to be done for the electrics. To fit the switch panel it would mean changing the controls on the column as well to get rid of the key barrel. Would I need the whole column or is it ...

Ullo all My Mini is prone to 'hickuping', ie. you get a total flat-spot in power as it seems to mis-fires once and then carry on as normal. This happens when the engine is under load, usually during A-road driving etc.

has anyone ever considered changing the position of the brake pedal, which is much higher than the accelerator? Even though I'm used to it, I must admit it's pretty awkward when you lift your foot from the accelerator and have to lift your entire leg to press on the brake

The slightest turn of the ignition key.... and the wipers are running ! I have an H reg Mayfair, the wiper motor is pretty old and the actuation lever and linkage is pretty worn but they did generally work
