I'm still stuck in the process of replacing the front discs on my 1991
mayfair. there doesn't seem to be any way to remove the hub flange from the
driveshaft. I got an answer from  steve in my last post telling me to tap
the end of the driveshaft with a hammer to free the taper ...

How much do you think it's worth?07 Mar 2004 10:20 GMT4
I have a mini that was hit from behind. It's an A-reg (1983), center
console simple one (just speedo with lights for oil, signal and
engine). It's in fine condition, with only 37,000 miles on it. The

strange noise from front right (was Re: clutch "scrape")06 Mar 2004 18:05 GMT3
Just a quick update... brakes are fixed. Master cylinder changed ok,
but didn't improve things. Took a second look at drums on the rear.
Nearside one looked a bit dodgy- changed the cylinder. No improvement,
but this fixed the structural problem. I then gave up and took it to
Oil Leaks06 Mar 2004 12:58 GMT7
There's always a fresh puddle of oil underneath my sisters Mini Open Classic
these days, I can't tell whether it's coming from the selector rod seal or
the drive shaft seals as there's a fair amount of oil sprayed around the
underneath of the engine.

Installing a radio05 Mar 2004 14:59 GMT2
I'm trying to install a radio on my mini. My stereo (Sony MDX-CA580) has
a continuous power supply (yellow) and a switched power supply (red). I'm
having a bit of trouble trying to find which cable to connect to which
terminal of this head unit.
