I have just bought a 1989 1275 auto metro to transfer the engine to my 1990 998cc. I have been told that my original gear box will not sync with the engine . Is this correct or will I have to get a new box if so what type would be best for the job ?

Just wondering whats the max wheel size I can get on my mini. Could you fit 14" or15" on it if I had those slim racing tyres fitted? Also Whats the max width you can fit on is 8" max? Cheers
