May you put Wec Lec (it's a product that claims to stop oil leaks) in a A
serie's ? We used it on other cars but never in my mini and now with 19 000
km (I think that must be around 14 000 miles) it started to leak (maybe it's

Where to get my Mini fixed? (UK)28 May 2004 09:07 GMT4
My '98 Cooper Sport has an oil leak from the crankshaft oil seal. I've
been ignoring it, because it's only slight, but my wife is determined to
have the drive block-paved, and insists that she doesn't want a slightly
incontinent Mini blobbing on it...
Strange front-end vibration28 May 2004 08:59 GMT4
Here's a stumper.  I have a strange noise in the front end; it's not really
a vibration, just a WOH...WOH...WOH noise with a frequency that matches the
rotation of the tires, in or out of gear, engine off or on.
It sounds a bit like a propeller airplane drone, only it matches the ...

Fuel pump27 May 2004 10:42 GMT7
My K reg Cooper 1.3i's fuel pump stopped working.  A friend had a look at it
but couldn't find the problem however he did wire it straight to the battery
and the pump works.  Now it's wired directly to the battery with a switch
installed.

maniflow or budget LCB?25 May 2004 15:06 GMT3
I need to buy LCB's for my mini this week and I'm wondering if there's any
benefit in paying extra for a well known brand of LCB's (such as maniflow)
or if well made budget ones are just as good. It will only be used for the
road and occasional track-days, not a race car.
Signal Switch25 May 2004 15:04 GMT3
The turnsignal switch on my steering column won't flip off when I turn
the corner. I was looking in the Haynes manual for this on how to adjust
it -- but don't see anything.
Do I need replace the whole switch or is there a trigger screw to
Nuts II25 May 2004 11:35 GMT2
Would anyone be able to tell me the size of the nuts to fit the standard
bumper to the mini. I've been through a box of odd nuts in  garage to no
avail. The nuts didn't come with the bumper which was annoying!
Cheers
