1984 Mini Auto with a broken crank. Shell stripped,good condition,about to
have a Fibreglass front fitted. I propose to keep the998cc,for cheaper
tax,insurance,and no added expense converting to discs.I am getting
conflicting info as to modifying the subframe to manual,some say

I was reading some old threads on this much-discussed subject.  There are a
lot of comments suggesting that synthetics are no good for mini engines or
that they are too thin (or unsuitable for other reasons) for use in the
gearbox.

I am about to start the task of re wiring my Mini.  The existing wiring
loom/harness is a mess and I would like to clean things up, and also reroute
wires to generally tidy up.

 anyone know if I have to replace the bottom suspension arms when putting a
metro set up on a mini.The wheels seem a bit to slanted and the tracking is
way out.If so what kind.Many thanks

I'm looking for offset values for standard Austin/Rover 12" mini
alloys but I'm having problems finding anything. There are lots of
sites which show types of mini wheels but little on the technical
spec.

I have an early model gearbox with the number 22G333 on the front and am
wanting to know what it is out of. A 'mate' tells me it is a cooper S box.
Is there any way of telling??? What would (should) the ratios be?

I was just thinking that in my first mini I had very practical rubber
mats on the floor instead of carpet.
It was a much better idea, does anybody know if you can still get the
rubber carpets?
