Ok.. I have had a mini for 6 weeks, and for 4 of them its been in a garage ,
with a fialure to get thru an MOT, because of Emissions failure..
I have been told that possibly it might be the Lambda sensor that is faulty.
Its a 93 mini, 1300i.  Just wondering what this sensor does, if ...

want anyone's input on who`s minisport, kad etc 4 pot callipers + vented
discs are best been thinking about changing my discs (69 cooper s) so they
must be able to use 10" wheels as a must

I've been advised that my indicator fault could be the Flasher Unit
(indicator relay).
I have included a picture that shows the case and the insides of the unit.
The arrows point towards 'scorch's marks.

OK, ive put on the K&N filter, LCB straight through and twin upswept DTM
style back box.

I was driving through the Pyrenees this weekend (fantastic roads!) and saw
several Minis taking part in what looked like a classic car rally coming
down the mountains.  Does anyone know what was going on, or was anyone
there?  Looked like excellent fun!

mini cooper 1300i 1993 failing on highh emissions. having spoken to a
mechanic who has changed all vacuum pipes inlet manifold gaskets etc, he now
beleives that it could be the ecu unit. the car would pass an ...

Having spent 6 years working at a Stainlees Steel fabricators and seen many
wierd and wonderful machines, frames and pressure vessles made from
stainless I am convinced that structural integrity of the material from a
metallugical point of view would not be a problem
