Off side front bearing wear!22 Sep 2004 04:20 GMT24
I have just taken my car for an mot (I knew it would fail but I just wanted
to see what work to actually do) They have said (and i have confirmed this
by checking) that the off side front wheel bearing has worn after only about
5000 miles! What could have caused this, any ideas?
fitting sportspack arches?21 Sep 2004 23:05 GMT2
Hi anyone fitted aftermarket (non genuine) Sportspack Arches?
I can't find any info on how to fit them and don't want to start cutting
away at either the arches or bodywork to find there is a simple solution...
Once fitted are they OK to be "pop" riveted on? for MOT purposes or do ...

The standard spotlights on my 95 cooper no longer come on with full beam..

full beam?
Converting 12" wheels to 10" disc brakes13 Sep 2004 20:56 GMT21
I have been thinking about gettin a early Mk1 or Mk2 Mini for a while
now, but looking at the ones for sale they seem to be getting rarer
and more expensive, so I have been thinkin of either gettin a Mk3-Mk4
with the 10" wheels and covert them to disc brakes or gettin a LATER
yet another engine number ID thread.12 Sep 2004 22:18 GMT3
It has a slight twist, because it is an inline rather than a
transverse mounted motor, but other than that...
As you look at the back of the motor, on the left, stamped upside down

FS two vintage Mini Coopers in S.E. Wisconsin U.S.A.12 Sep 2004 22:05 GMT2
Two cars for sale, as a package or separate.  One is a stock 1967 Mini
Cooper, red in color.  Car was restored, but still needs a little
T.L.C, but not much.  The second was a race car with the S.C.C.A. up
until the early '70s.  Needs restoration, but could be made into a
Steering wheel horn push11 Sep 2004 17:33 GMT2
This is probably a daft question but.... I'm building a Blitz kit car
(utilising the Mini as a donor) and I would like to have a central
horn push. The mini was a Mk3 so the horn was operated via a stalk.
My question is : Presumably I would need apart from (obviously) a
