thanks for the input.  After looking all over the internet, 1st time I hear
about rebushing when changing driveshaft seal.  It makes sense.  You dont
happen to know any good web sites that show this procedure, or is it outside

I am just associating mig welders and minis cant think why ; )
I have been using mig welders for longer than i care to remember but this is
at work with 3 phase industrial equipment.  I am going to buy a diy set to
keep on top of the rust on the mini.

New owner of a 1989 mini in France, where I just moved to from Canada.  As a

I bought this short block years ago when I had my mini's but never used it
was wondering what there worth. I took them to Mr. Mini  when I got them
just to be sure they actually are from a 997 cooper and he said the head
numbers are from a 997  cooper.  The block has no casting ...

I have a '67 MK1 which suffers from a strange stiffness in 2 or 3 places in
the steering travel. Sometimes you have to give the wheel quite a hard pull
to to straighten up after a roundabout or junction.
I have stripped and reajusted the ball joints and greased them with moly

I'm looking for some 10" tyres for origianl steel wheels in the UK,
preferably the Midlands, and am having trouble finding any.
Can anyone recommend a place to get them from?

Just found some old (Pre 97_ copies of Miniworld including Nos 1 and 2.
Is it worth sticking them on Ebay or just shred em?

Is it possible to put a 12G940 head on an 850cc engine, and if so, how
difficult or easy would it be?  i.e. what would i need to do?  Cheers

there is a better way to go?  A single carb, larger carbs, or?

I was quite horrified when i removed the rubber strip from the sill to
repaint a small patch of rust only to find it all the way along ang one
small bit rusted through.
I realised a couple of years ago this could be a problem so gave it a coat

1993 Mini British Open Classic up for sale, in need of a good home and some
TLC.  It all works as it should including the power sunroof, but there is a
fair bit of rust on the o/s wing and A/panel.  The Mini belongs to my
