At what angle should spots be positioned? Not so much a precise angle but
more a general ida of how far down (or up) they should be pointing.

carb.  which one goes to the big spring?

I have tried the sender wire to earth but there is no response, does this
mean a faulty guage or is there a fuse, relay of something i can try before
taking the instrument cluster apart.

2 questions.
1) Before hacking the firewall if its the wrong thing to do, please
advise or relate experiences w.r.t. installing a pancake air filter
upright between the std SU carb. and the firewall.

I can get hold of a 1977 mini clubman for a couple of hundred. All of the
bodywork is sound and it has had a good respray. Until a few years ago it
was used as a general runaround and has about 50000 on the clock. The owner
then had it resprayed but it has sat there for the past few ...

This is the nasty Ontario Mini I picked up and am about to start sorry my
web page is down as I quit my job I had it running from lol.  I  have to get
it back up so I can just put links.

1995 single point injection 1275cc Sidewalk,
the relay module has started acting up,,, and knocking the pump out,,
it has 4 relays inside the plastic unit, according to the Haynes book

My Mini has the Australian Lucas 29D4 distributor. Can anyone tell me where
tune-up parts (cap, rotor, points and condenser are still available for
them? I understand that most repair parts are unavailable but that service

I just noticed the temp guage on our 92 open classic is not working.  The
haynes manual doesn't appear to mention it (unless i missed it).
I looked on the thermostat housing where i expected to find the sender unit
but it just has a couple of vacuum pipes.
