Have anyone ever had a similar experience or heard of?
A few years back I bought a maintenance free Bosch 81080 12V 40Ah car
battery from an auto electrical specialist in west London for my 1978 Mini
Clubman. Actually it was my second battery from them as the first one was

I will probably make one (i have all the facilities at work), does any one

I am looking for rear lamp seals. If anyone knows where to get them from.15 Feb 2005 16:39 GMT3
As the title sais, I am looking for those rubber seals. Had no luck on
ebay. Even bought the lamp cluster itself asking the seller to post the
seal only. What I got was a paint splattered, cracked piece of rubbish.
Need a new set.
Static timing14 Feb 2005 13:40 GMT2
Does anyone know what the static timing and points gap should be for a
standard 1989 Mini 1000? The Lucas distributor says (I think)41907. My
Haynes manual doesn't quote beyond 1976.
Thanks
Vacuum advance leaking13 Feb 2005 15:07 GMT1
Does anyone know...?
What are the symptoms of a leaky vacuum advance unit on a standard '89
Mini 1000? If there's little noticible difference in overall performance,
is it worth blanking off?
Disc braked hubs diagram anyone?12 Feb 2005 23:52 GMT12
I'm, building a dirt buggy using Rover Mini front hubs etc. Does anyone know
where on the web I can source a diagram of the hubs showing bearings etc. or
(preferably) a scan of a manual including the text describing stripping and
rebuilding.
Leaky Heater Problems11 Feb 2005 19:57 GMT6
I have a leaky heater on my Mini.
Managed to get hold of another one and this one seams to leak in the same
place. There's a two part piece of plastic joined to the matrix and this
seems to be the area that it is leaking from.
Best place to get an MOT in Bedford?10 Feb 2005 18:03 GMT1
Can anyone recommend a lenient garage or MOT test centre in Bedford? Every
time I have an MOT, garages always seem to find non-existent faults, I think
they just see an old car and assume its going to have things wrong with it.
Cheers...
Erratic idle10 Feb 2005 17:58 GMT3
Can anyone help?
I recently fitted a new main Waxstat jet to the SU carb on my '89 Mini
1000 as the old one was worn and running very rich. So much so that the
jet was screwed almost to the top and still idling quite fast. The new jet
