Hello all, this is probably an old one, but any help will be appreciated.
I'm trying to get my son insured on my 1980 Mini. It has a 998 engine and
non standard Wolfrace alloy wheels. My son is 20 and passed his driving test
last month. Any ideas/advice ?

Hey readers!  Can anyone suggest the ease with which low profile tyres will
fit onto 13 inch rims?  I'm worried about the tyre scrubbing on the
suspension or arches.  Does anyone have a proven fit which did not require
cutting into the wings please?
2004 Mini Cooper G-Box add-on27 Mar 2005 18:40 GMT3
I bought a G-box modifier for the IAT sensor.  I have no idea where the
MAP/IAT combination sensor is on my car.  Any advice other than for me to go
to a dealer?
Thanks,
BINI in flames on Watchdog!27 Mar 2005 12:50 GMT3
Anyone else see Watchdog last night on BBC1? There was a feature about
a lass with a shiny new BINI, which decided to incinerate itself only a
few minutes after her and a friend had got out of it!
OK, so my MINI (before it's recent accident-see seperate post!)
More valve seat unleaded fuel questions27 Mar 2005 09:42 GMT2
Yes more valve seat unleaded fuel questions!
My engine serial number starts with BHM 1439 1XXXXX. While I was informed in
the past, via this newsgroup (thank you) that it is likely a rebuilt engine,
I still have not been able to identify whether or not my engine has the
Brake binding26 Mar 2005 11:03 GMT6
I'm having a severe brake problem with my mini. It's a mk5 998 mayfair
automatic. Sometimes the front right wheel remains strongly braked
although no pressure is applied to the brake pedal. This happened 3
times so far, requiring 3 new disc and pad sets. I've replaced all
Mini 25 Petrol advice25 Mar 2005 21:32 GMT6
I`m new to mini`s but intend to learn as much as possible. I`ve just
bought a 1984 mini 25 that was converted to an automatic with a 1991
engine, 18 months ago. The original manual says use four star petrol,
but as that was written in `84, and four star is rather harder to get

Mini Advice21 Mar 2005 03:16 GMT3

Snap-off steering wheels question16 Mar 2005 01:14 GMT7
Anyone out there fitted one of those ' snap-off ' steering wheels ?
Is it a straightforward job i.e. just spanners, or more complex ?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

door re-skin16 Mar 2005 00:22 GMT3
Hello,
I read a few posts on door re-skinning and one actually included a
link to a web page with step by step instructions. The page doesn't
exist anymore and I was wondering if anyone can give some good advice
