Cooling Fan 2003 Cooper S22 Aug 2005 10:02 GMT59
Our MINI has been overheating, and I have isolated the problem to the
electric cooling fan.  I've ordered the new part from a MINI dealer, but
just got around to checking the service manual for the replacement
procedure.  According to the TIS, you have to remove the front bumper, ...
Metro engine swap20 Aug 2005 20:21 GMT11
I have a 1970 automatic Vanden Plas Princess 1300, so it has the 1275cc
A-series engine as fitted in some Minis.. Does anyone know if the head from
a 1990 MG Metro will fit or, alternatively, if the Metro engine is a
straight swap for the original one?
Mini on ebay18 Aug 2005 13:06 GMT2
A friend of mine has a Mini I am helping him sell on ebay. The car runs but recently had something go inside the tranny.
He bought another tranny to put into it but decided that he'd rather just sell the car. Here's the link

Power steering whining18 Aug 2005 08:23 GMT5
We had our Mini delivered monday, a used cooper with 7k miles on the clock.
We noticed straight away that the car whined when on, we just thought it was
the engine sound. By the second day the steering became rather tough. By the
third day, the whining noise did not go off when ...

evil rust11 Aug 2005 19:40 GMT3
We have had our open classic for 3 years now and i consider that despite it
being stored and used in all weathers i am a good owner.  I keep it clean
and every summer clean and re waxoyl the underneath.
Even so the sills are showing some heavy surface rust and it needs new wing
Mini Moke Water Temperature11 Aug 2005 19:35 GMT9
I fitted a Smiths water temp/oil pressure combination gauge to my steed and
I am observing higher running temps on the freeway than in the city.
No blown head gasket, pure water in the rad (yes I know but I chose to do
this, will add water wetter for anti rust later today), timing ...
Rolling radius - something to think about or not?10 Aug 2005 09:37 GMT4
Recently I upgraded both the wheels and tyres on my car, and had to go to a
70 profile height instead of 80, because I was worried about the rolling
radius being different to original.  Would this actually have been a
problem, because next time I might fit the higher profile in ...

Starting problems09 Aug 2005 16:20 GMT5
Car's a 1987 998 and over the last couple of months has developed a few
problems starting.
I've had to put a recon starter motor on as the missus burnt the starter
clutch out, this improved things somewhat.

Wondering if I might get some feedback from the group regarding MiniMania out of California. Are they prompt with orders and fair in customer service?
I will be needing to order a few bits as the person in front of me at a stop light this morning felt obliged to make more room ...
