I was wondering if anyone on here could help me. I was following my
girlfriend in her Mini on Saturday and she pulled over because she
could smell some sort of burning, she told me it popped out of gear
when she stopped which made me think it might be something to do with

I own a 1250 Mini clubman 1.972 ... would you recommend valvle replacement?
since here in Spain wright now we will not be able to find the  leaded
gasoline.

well found out about the ptc heater not being absolutly necessary for running
(see last post) but now after boxing engine back up started her up and she
purred! but then started getting quite a bit of smoke from around the inlet
/exhaust manifolds but its tight so what gives?any ...

Mini Clubman (10"). I now have pretty severe vibration coming up through
the steering column and whole front at just over 60 mph. Is this entirely

Cooper 1.3i, there are 3 in total and I lost one during a rebuild, I will
also need the rubber seal & washer, can anyone help please.

Been looking at my Heritage cert. and wondering how my engine number (engine
replaced before I bought the car) has the number of 9F-SA-Y/xxxx. The last Y
should mean it was a 1275 Cooper engine - but the car is a Austin Mini

Which oil do you recommend using in our precious A series engines?   Many
claim Duckhams Q 20W50 to be the best, some use specialist Millers oil which
is a bit pricey and some use semi-synthetics which others claim to be
harmful to the gearbox.

My sister has a problem with her 1994 Rover Mini Tahiti.  It's
completely standard, so no modifications in any respect.
The car has not been used much at night for a couple of years.  A week
or so ago she was driving home and the both the headlights went out.

Whats the best way to deal with these, i was thinking scraping and wire
brush, kurust, hammerite paint then waxoyl.  Is this ok or is it better to
underseal.
