hello again, having looked at the master cylinder it requires replaceing: it is a 1981 mini pickup with drums all round, with a BLACK plastic identification band on it (type 2 tandem)

Can anyone identify pistons with the markings ID19 W45 STD? Obviously standard bore size, but what bore, and what engine? They are flat top, some way down the bore at TDC, and it's believed to be a 1275 block. I'm trying to help a friend identify the engine he has before he decides ...

hi all again, just realised that the choke cable was disconnected, the problem is i tried to reconnect it but instead of an su carb the car's got a webber carb!!! is there anyway i can reconnect it at all?

http://www.itv.com/news/1944.html He has announced that owners of the smallest cars will pay no tax at all and that duty on low emission cars is being cut to £40. Well if it's true, the value of Mini's are likely to go through the roof!?

Also a friend is having trouble with 1998 Mpi non-cooper normally with key on position number 2 the fuel pump buzzes for a few seconds b4 you crank (to build fuel pressure). His is not doing this. I have unboxed the 4 mems relays near the bulkhead in the black box, and

I took the 8,4" standard Mini caliper in 2 halves, which is forbidden in the Haynes manual. I did this to replace the rubber seal ring as I cleaned the caliper in parrafin.
