Once again thanks to all that offered help/advice on my previous posts, very

Can anyone now tell me if when I stand in front of my mini looking at the
engine, are the valves numbered 1-8 from left to right or right to left?

I have a weird problem with my mini which developed a few weeks ago.
Basically sometimes the engine turns over but it does not appear that
any fuel can get to the engine, so hence it wont start. The only way you
can get the engine to start is by taking a wire directly from the

I have noticed, that when my car is started from cold and at idle, I have
around 50-60psi of oil pressure according to a gauge that I have retro
fitted. Once the car has reached running temperature and is at idle, the
pressure reads about 20psi, at 50mph or 3-3500rpm the pressure ...

Has anyone ever converted a late 1.3SPi 1275 Mini engine to normally
aspirated plus electronic ignition?
I have just fitted a modern A series with HIF44, K&N air filter, LCB and
2" exhaust. It has the dizzy replaced with a Metro 42664A distributor

I have I bit of a dangerous problem with my 1989 mini 30. Its pumping fuel
out all over the floor appearing to be coming from the expansion pipe from
the float chamber.
My questions are...
