Service Mileage Reset26 Feb 2007 04:37 GMT4

read a FAQ about holding the trip counter light in while turning the
ignition switch to position 1 and waiting for code 15 to come up, etc.
All I get is "test" followed a few seconds later by "51".  I thought ...

Changing coolant18 Feb 2007 06:59 GMT14
How often should I change the coolant on my 998cc F Reg Mini? There's no
drain plug on the back and it's impossible to release the bottom radiator
hose jubilee clip without removing the radiator, a very awkward job. Is
there another way? Why did Rover do away with the drain plug?

how best to fix this? Is helicoiling an option and is it easily done in
situ or can anyone suggest another method?

Oh yawn.  Today, somewhere in he world, a good father, mother, child,
friend, boss, preacher, teacher, or neighbor died prematurely and
anonymously.  They likely lived their lives honorably with kindness,
generosity, compassion, and care for the people they loved.
fitting replacement heater10 Feb 2007 02:31 GMT3
Refitting a (different) heater to my CE.
It sits OK on the two brackets on the bulkhead, but when I swing the
heater up to meet the two captive plates under the bottom rail, the
self tappers don't line up with the fixing holes and they are quite a

What did you think of BMCs Bingley ??
I thought it was a poor show this year in comparison to previous years,, a
very poor turn out of show cars where on display, and what looked like only
half the traders where there, and a small handful of the usual club stands
Oil temp gauge/sender - wiring?07 Feb 2007 16:46 GMT8
Am fitting an oil temperature gauge from a Rover Cooper to my Mini-based kit
car, utilising the sump plug/sender unit as supplied by Minispares.
This unit appears to have two small terminals in it - does this signify two
wires to the sender or just a two-pin plug ? Cannot readily ...

I have an 87 Mini Advantage. The Off side rear tyre is worn on its outer
