can anyone please tell me how much it would cost to fix a "rod knocking" in
an eclipse   or how much it would cost to just replace the engine?????????

Anyone out there happen to know if a 2.O normally aspirated '95 Eclipse
has an interference engine?  Someone is selling one on a local newsgroup
that broke a timing belt while driving down the road, and claims that he
hasn't had it evaluated by a mechanic.

I replaced the front pads on my 2002 Lancer ES because they were getting
worn. The rotors looked good and did not have any "grooves"
(still shiny and smooth). Did not have the rotors turned or re-surfaced.
Now the right side makes a scraping sound when braking.

About a week ago when I pressed the gas the car would jerk a little. Today
if i press the gas too hard it would somewhat stall with little jerks in
between until I let up on teh  gas and push the gas softer. What do you
think may be wrong with my car? Just need a little light on ...

I had a 1991 Eagle Talon, I sold to a Co-Worker, (big mistake) anyway,
when I bought the car it needed an alternator and a battery, so I
changed them out, well my co-worker has called me twice now and said
that the alternator and battery were bad again, so I exchanged them

Has anyone experienced this nasty yellowish film on either or both of
their headlights? I replaced one of my lights before because of this
but it happened again. Is there anything out there you can use to
correct this? If not are there any lights that are available that react

tests good. fuses and relays are good. tried doing a direct wire from the
alternator to the battery and still can't get a good charge from alt to
