I don't want to send the ECU in for a $250 replacement; rather, I want to repair what's wrong on the circuit board and/or just buy a replacement circuit board. It's my understanding that these ECU's have a high failure rate, see this:

I have noticed that the Diamantes arn't really Mitusbishi's prime, top selling car.. otherwise they would keep making them. 1. Im wondering how rare replacement parts are and if you can use Galant parts in them because they seem pretty similar.
