90 MONTERO BAD ECM--HOW TO TEST & WHERE TO GET PARTS ??16 Jan 2007 03:34 GMT2
I don't want to send the ECU in for a $250 replacement; rather, I want
to repair what's wrong on the circuit board and/or just buy a
replacement circuit board.  It's my understanding that these ECU's have
a high failure rate, see this:

I've been having a problem the last couple of weeks with my car. Its a

Have a 2001 carisma 1.6 having done 46000 miles and good service history
etc. Have given it a new timing belt as well.
In the last few days, when starting it has cut out after about two

My 1997 Mitsubishi 3000GT was running fine, doing 50 down the road and
it died with no warning. Never had any problems in the past with the
car running. Now it wont start, its not firing from the coil and apears
that the fuel pump isnt pumping either. I have checked the coil,

hi my galant keeps stalling. it will start after 4 or 5 tries  will go a
little ways and just stall. it is at a repair shop right now and they do
not know whats wrong with it. about 2 months ago it was running rough when

Eh, I forgot to ad that I believe that limit you mentioned is the 2-step rev
ceiling.
A two stage or 2-step limiter is one where when the vehicle is not in

First off I’m ashamed for knowing minimal about cars.  Ive recently
heard a rattling noises form the engine. I just got my timing belt and
belt swapped out this summer and I think it may be some metal parts

We have a 1994 Eagle talon that died yesterday. We drove it to a
restaurant and it was running fine. When we came out of the restaurant

I have noticed that the Diamantes arn't really Mitusbishi's prime, top
selling car.. otherwise they would keep making them.
1. Im wondering how rare replacement parts are and if you can use
Galant parts in them because they seem pretty similar.

Just curious what people's feeling on this is... I recently took an 03
Outlander to get the trans fluid changed out at 30k. They did use the
removal machine to get all of it. I noticed on the computer screen it
said Diamond  ATF SP III. I asked the guy if he was going to use that,
