| 4G63T SMOKER to stroker... | 26 Jun 2007 12:18 GMT | 14 |
Today I got the 4G63T smoker out and pulled it down to see last November's new pistons and rings rattled and smoked. The bore was (supposedly) lightly honed by two guys who I thought knew better, after all they work on a couple of EVO8's and know Mitsubishi well.

I have a 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT, V-6, 5-speed manual transmission. 84,000 miles, the oil is changed every 3,000 miles and the car is generally well maintained. I always fill it with premium fuel. I don't hot rod the car although I do take advantage of the extra power and ...

| mighty max oil leak.... | 18 Jun 2007 13:53 GMT | 2 |
I cannot get this thing to stop leaking its oil out all over the place. Have had the oil pan re-sealed multiple times with some pretty expensive sealant, no luck. Oddly, it will only start to leak when driving at highway speeds. It doesn't leak at all (after re-sealing) around town ...

| 4G63N ignition coil | 16 Jun 2007 16:28 GMT | 3 |
Last year I had to fix a trouble witn my ignition coil. It had been overheated by the previous owner, so it sparked when hot and the engine stalled when the air conditioner was on. The workshop made an extra insulating sheet to fix the trouble, but this year I hear again the

| '94 eclipse throttling problem | 16 Jun 2007 02:24 GMT | 5 |
We just bought this '94 2.0 eclipse for our son. But it has this problem of surging @ idle and throttle response is almost immediate to 2000-2500 rpm and returns back to this surging idle very slowly. I checked and replaced the TPS, but no change. I originallly mistook an engine ...

OK, since my 1G 4G63 has to come apart for a rebore and rebuild, I've decided to make a 2.3L stroker. I have the old 4G64 from my 93 Summit wagon rebuild available and the 7 bolt crank appears to be good. I'll have the machine shop check it out. I can also use the 6 bolt 4G64 ...
