She has a 03 Max. After the bags were replaced, the cover to the
airbags is no longer flush with the dashboard. This is on the

I just replaced my original Nissan battery in my 2001 Maxima SE.  I've
had the car 2.5 years, so I knew it was time.  I've had 2 other
Maximas (both bought new: 1987, 1993) and the Nissan batteries seemed
to only last about 2 years.

When first started my power steering squeals and is hard to turn. It goes
away almost immediately once I start driving. Any tips to stop the squeal
and save whatever life is left in the pump?

One side of the headlight is off from time to time when it is on daylight
driving mode.  The light will turn on when I switch it to low beam during
night driving. Can anyone let me know what could have happened.  Thanks for

I have a 2000 GLE.  I want to replace all the rotors (warping problem with
factory rotors) and the brake pads.  I do not want the top of the line,
racing rotors or pads.  I just want standard - stop me from dying pads and

 I have a 95 maxima that is very hard starting when the ambient tempature is
warm.  If the air temp is cold, starts right up, if over 60 degrees very hard
starting. Once started restarts fine if restarted within a few minutes.
 I figured it might be the MAP sensor but it tests ...

I smell gas when the temp is below 30 or so. Can someone give me some idea
of where to check on my Max. Could it be the charcoal canister and if so
where is that located?

Have any of you D-I-Y's replaced the timing chain tensioner in their
96 and later Max? Mine allows chain rattle at every cold start even
with 5W-30 Mobil 1 oil and Nissan filter. Are parts expensive and is
it difficult or time consuming?

Just as an FYI, I took my '98 Maxima in for service yesterday. It was
at about 64000 miles and needed the 60K checkup.  I last changed the
oil at 58,000 miles. (I do mostly highway driving, so this was only
about three months ago.)

I just made a conversion from automatic to manual. I rebuilt  the slave
cylinder. When the car is cold,it shifts fine.Once it warms  up. second
gear  grinds as I have the clutch pressed and am shifting  from 1 to 2,
I also have to hold the shifter  very hard so that it does  engage. ...

My '91 Nissan Maxima is acting very strange.  The passenger power
window goes down on its own.  If I hold up switch, the window stays.
