I have a 96 max with a vortec supercharger. I have been having problems with the ECU. Has anybody else have had problems with the ECU? I just have found the discussion group and would love some feed back.

I just had my codes read at AutoZone for free thanks to this news group and it came up P0171 & P0174 Which is system too lean (bank 1 & 2 ). Any ideas where to go from here. He suggested water remover and octane booster. Any help would be appreciated . Thanks Ivan

IMHO, I beleive the VQ30DE-K motor in the 2000-2001 Maxima is the best damn V6 on the planet. The VQ30DE is a great motor, too, I have an affinity for it since I've owned a 98 Max SE. Add and MEVI to the VQ30DE and you make a great autobahn runner, not that the stock engine is ...

I own a 98 maxima gxe.When I start the engine,it idles above 1000RPM.When I start driving ,the car does well until it hits 30MPH,but after that,any more throttle seems to increase the RPM to 4000RPM,but the speed really doesnt change much.It stays like that

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but what are the latest thoughts on using NGK Iridium plugs in the Nissan VQ-series engines? I am about to change plugs in my '98 Maxima and NGK are pushing the Iridiums as better than platinum.
