| '01 Oil Pan replacement | 18 Mar 2004 02:07 GMT | 2 |
Somehow, my '01 GLE has acquired a tiny crack or pinhole right in the center of the oil pan resulting in a leak. Without the leak, you can barely see the hole because there is absolutely no dent whatsoever in the pan. I'm not quite sure how it got there because I don't remember ...

| 2001 SE PosiQuiet Pads | 17 Mar 2004 23:08 GMT | 2 |
I have the infamous "warped rotor" syndrome and after getting them turned twice, they supposedly cannot be turned anymore. I have a set of front Brembos sitting here but the dealer I purchased them from substituted pads. I ordered the Axxis Ultimate but I got PosiQuiet,

| 3 MPH front-end collision = $1900 ! ! ! | 16 Mar 2004 17:55 GMT | 3 |
A note of caution to fellow Maxima owners who drive in stop-and-go traffic -- a brief moment of distraction can cost you big-time. Fortunately, my little lapse of attention occurred while I was driving behind an older jeep with a metal bumper, leaving nothing more than a

| 2KSE - Replacing coils: Can a novice do it? | 16 Mar 2004 02:18 GMT | 8 |
My 2KSE with approx 42K miles threw a code in January. I took it to the mechanic and they said it was a P1320. They reset the code and sent me on my merry way. A week ago, the MIL came on when the engine was running rough

| Door Replacement ? | 14 Mar 2004 01:20 GMT | 1 |
Re: 2001 SE: I have a crease in the driver's door which was banged out by a Dent-Wiz place. It looks pretty good, but not as I'd like. Can the outer metal layer be replaced or does the whole door need replacing? What's the best (i.e., least expensive) way to get this

| Tips to insert Axle Seal? | 14 Mar 2004 00:33 GMT | 7 |
I am doing my driver's side axle seal on my 1995 maxima manual transmission. I bought part #38342-81X00 which is a little different from the stock seal I am replacing in that it has a metal surround vs. plastic. It appears to be the same size. However, when I go to

| 97 GLE...headlights too bright? | 13 Mar 2004 15:30 GMT | 2 |
Sometimes when I drive to work at 10:30-11pm, I see headlights flashed by oncoming motorists to tell me my brights are on, but they're not. Is this normal for drivers to think my regular headlights are too bright? Could it just be they're aimed too high?

| Dipstick Confession | 13 Mar 2004 05:14 GMT | 11 |
OK, it is 8 years late to be asking this question, but I will anyway. :) '96 Max SE, 5 speed. Checking the oil level on the dipstick always seem imprecise. The oil on the stick always appears "smeared" and, possibly, higher on the stick that it actually is, since the dipstick, ...

| air recycle control button | 13 Mar 2004 04:27 GMT | 2 |
I have a 2001 maxima gle. The button controls air flow does not close and as a result of that, I'm getting exhaust fumes from other vehicles. The dealer claims that there is no problem; or that it is 'fixed'; or you need to leave (for umpteenth time) it. Anyone else ...
