What do you guys think is the best type of AC leak detecting tool for
the DIY'er. I will probably use this once so cost is an issue. It is for
my 94 Max gxe which suddenly lost its charge. It did work for about 30
minutes when I re-charged it but I could not visibly see any

This Maxima failed the MIL/check engine light due to
a warning lamp failure. The fault codes reads:
P0325 Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 or
Single Sensor) and P0141 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit

I'm hoping to be able to towbar pull my Maxi behind my truck.  Can I do it
and what do I have to do to my Maxima?  My Nissan dealer doesn't seem to be
interested in helping me out.

I have a 95 Maxima. The dome light would work at times in auto mode and not
at others. By tapping it hard it owuld come on and work for a while, then
go out the next time.  I took it off and cleaned the switch with a contact
renew, checked the bulb and reinstalled it. It worked for ...

For those who have that generation Maxima and have taken the 90,000
mile service plunge, can you give me idea what I can expect to pay.  I
know that the car will need a new fuel filter, belts, hoses, air
cleaner and fluid changes.  Brakes are fine.  Is there anything else

I have a 96 5-spd Max with 85K mi.  I hear a type of "clatter" I guess
is how it's best described, when I let the engine rev down in gear
that I don't hear when accelerating or cruising.  It's there but
fainter in neutral when revving, not there at idle.  Probably there

1995 Maxima QX British model 3litre V6.
Central locking with the hand remote control does not work, seemed to get
'lazy' then stopped. Changed battery. No again! Got a new hand control
from local dealer and it will not re programme, so they both do not work!

This has bothered me for awhile so I'm just going to ask.
Somewhere..there was a setting to NOT have some interior lights turn
on when the doors are open. I set it to NOT come on a year ago, and I
swear for the life of me I cant remember where/what I need to do to

Power going to starter - bench tested and clicks

Anyone familiar with the problems associated with the Bose stereo system?
Whenever I try to play CD I get a "Err" on the L. E. D. display!  The tape
deck also given the problems, to put the tape in it does fine until you try
to fast-forward, rewind, etc. for which it will stop ...

My 1990 nissan max. dies in the middle of the road going 60 then, turns
over three time will not start, move seat back and forth, open shut hood
and truck hood then it starts, It is a real pain.

The speedometer is not working.  I have no idea where location of cable is
or is it electronic.  if so, where do I find it?

I own a Nissan Maxima 2000. A few weeks ago, the check engine light
came on. I went to Checkers and got the readout - the code was P1320 -
I think the text that went with it was like "ignition or misfire". A
few days after that, it went out and stayed out for at least a week.
