My Maxima began hard star about a year ago...245000km,only after sitting
for a couple of hours as well as very hard to start in morning.Cranks
several times then finally catches and runs rough for a few seconds...then
runs great. My mechanic is not able to fix. He has done plugs  ...

My mechanic has done all your suggestions...still is hard to start...any

I'm a newbie car owner so excuse my dumbass question please.  I just
got my oil changed and the Valvoline shop showed me the stick with
dirty oil and recommended a $40 cleaner of some kind saying that my
oil looked extra dirty.  I balked and refused.

Just wondering where to find the circuit breakers for a 1992 maxima?  My
sunroof and seats don't work (see my other post) and I found a reference
saying to checking the circuit breakers, but don't know where they are!  Any
help would be appreciated...

I am in need of new brake rotors for my 2000 Nissan Maxima SE.  I was
considering upgrading to cross-drilled/slotted rotors.  Does anyone
have any experience with these?  Are they worth the money?  What are
the pros and cons of using these rotors?

      I have a 1995 Maxima that occasionally has starting problems (1 to 5
times a month).  The problem seems to occur more often in cold weather.  It
does not seem to matter if the car sits overnight or has just been running.
The large capacity battery is only months old.

The engine valves sound noisy and the engine runs very on a cold start.
The sound is like a diesel engine or an engine with the timing slightly off.
The engine is very "boggy" when you press the throttle, adding throttle
makes it worse.

I heard that 93 Maximas (3.0L) have a factory default which sounds
like deiseling. It happens when the car is running it comes up then
fades away.
It was explained to me that it's due to the cam or valves or

I have a 95 Maxims SE with 82000 miles on it.
I had four injectors replace after one of them failed. The other two had
been replaced four years ago.
Now the car wont start as quickly as it did before the injectors were

I have a 99 Maxima and sometimes the car take a few tries to start.  Does
this sound like an ignition coil about to go?  I have 90k and have changed
two of the coils about 2 years ago.  I recently changed the air filter and
did the plugs at 65k.  Any advice would be appreciated.

Does anyone know how to remove the headlamp housing on the 04 Max.  Trying
to put better fog lights in the car and they only way I can tell is the
headlamp housing must come off but have no clue on how to do this.  I see
only two screw bolts to take out but it's still snug.  Thanks ...

My 94 Maxima was running good, I reconnected the wires to the battery and
when I restarted the car it instantly had the malfunction indicatory lamp
on and was idling very rough. There were no earlier signs of any trouble
and it seems like maybe something electrical might of caused ...

Seeing how affordable the heater A/C controls are on ebay I was wondering if
I could just exchange the manual one in my car for one of these cool
automatic ones.  Anybody know if they will swap and connectors will fit?

Between the '00-'01 Maxima's 222hp engine and the '02's 255hp engine,
how much of a difference does that extra 33hp really make with all
other factors being equal?  How much can you really feel it in
day-to-day driving?

I have 1998 Nissan Maxima - GXE - about 68000 miles. Service Engine
Light has come on. I took it to a mechanic and he just reset computer
- it went away for 3 days now its back. Is this a common problem?
Should I take it to Nissan Dealer? Its out of warranty period now.
