| Rusty Front Brake Rotors on 2004 Maxima | 31 Dec 2004 01:35 GMT | 6 |
Brake vibration on a 2004 Maxima with only 25,000 km (i.e. 15,000 miles). Dealer says due to rust on inside edge of front brake rotors and rotors need to be turned (i.e. machined). Warranty does not cover rust on brake rotors even at 25,000 km! Has anybody else experienced this ...

| Ticking noise | 30 Dec 2004 23:21 GMT | 4 |
I have a Maxima 2001, there is a slight ticking/tapping noise when the engine is running. No service lights are on. Wondering if it could be a tear in the timing belt that is hitting on the outer protective casing or valve.

The reply to this is a large, 7.15MB file, a PowerPoint Slide Show that details in pictures the procedure to remove the center console. I hope this helps people that might otherwise be intimidated by the job, it's actually easy.

| 3rd gen Maxima front end clatter | 24 Dec 2004 01:49 GMT | 5 |
My wife's 94 GXE has developed a "clatter" when going about 15mph over slightly rough roads. I think it might be a front transverse link (control arm) bushing or a stablizer bar bushing, but I can't tell for sure. The rear rubber bushing in the front transverse links show some ...
