    I have a 93 GXE with about 60K miles. On cold winter mornings I
start the car and let it warm up for about 10 minutes. The engine
coolant temperature gauge is half way between cold and hot ( a little
more to cold actually) as usual. The engine idles at about 800 rpm.

My 98 Nissan Maxima emits a loud squeal when I turn the wheels afer a
cold start. I've never ever driven until the engine's warmed up for
about a minute, and it idles at around 1000 rpm right after start.
(This, of course, goes lower once it's hot.)

1995 GXE had the infamous cold start noise from the beginning -- dealer

is it normal for a 95 maxima to Idle at 1000 RPM's
iv been having some troubles with my 10 year old maxima with 115k mils on it
the other day it was really cold out and it wouldn't start right away (kept
stopping till I gave it some gas)

When going about 10 mi/hr try to accelerate and there is a short delay
before it kicks in.  
Any ideas?
