Coolant question concerning silicates16 Jun 2005 08:17 GMT7
I posted this question inside another thread and didn't see any
responses, but I was wondering, does using the OEM coolant, the Nissan
stuff that contains no silicates really make the water oump last longer?
When I say longer I'm talking about over 150K miles. Or does using the ...
Taking off the rear window ...16 Jun 2005 08:13 GMT1
How do you do this correctly ? The previous owner had a sun shade coating
installed ( = plastic ) and now it starts to peel off, reducing visibility a
lot. The only true fix is to peel off the entire plastic coating which I
can't do from the inside. Are there any instructions how to ...

Loose Exhaust Heat Shield14 Jun 2005 05:18 GMT4
I have a 1996 Infiniti I30.  I just noticed there is a part hanging
down from underneath.  Talking to my garage, they say it's probably the
exhaust heat shield.  The driver's side portion of this part is hanging
down, and it is still attached on the passenger side.

I have a 2005 Nissan Maxima SE. The tires are Eagle RS-A sized  P245/45R-18

safely towed this way?

2000 Maxima O2 sensor circuit high voltage10 Jun 2005 14:06 GMT1
I brought my Maxima to the dealer a few weeks ago to fix a low power and
misfiring problem.  They replaced the mass airflow sensor which seems to
have fixed the problem.  They said they had to reprogram the car's computer
with software compatible with the new sensor.  The next ...

volume when turned up very high, you hear a little.  Otherwise, nothing.  Is
it the amp in the speaker gone bad. Is it the head not sending music to left
front speaker. How can you be sure. Thanks.

I plan to keep this vehicle for a long time.  All work is done by local

Tranny flush on '02 please help08 Jun 2005 23:17 GMT4
Last time I got my oil changed on my 02 Maxima SE, I got the
transmission flushed and new fluid. Now I hear on a radio car talk show
that Nissan recommends a specific transmission fluid from Nissan. The
car is running fine. Should I have a dealer replace the fluid to Nissan
fuel filter/fuel pump08 Jun 2005 19:52 GMT11
i have a 1994 gxe and yesterday i started hearing a whine under the

"maybe this'll get it" route and changed the fuel filter.  the old
filter looks rough, to be sure, so regardless, i'm glad i changed it,
Location of Data Link Connector on 2001 Maxima08 Jun 2005 12:34 GMT2
Ok here is the deal.   The ABS light came on and I'm trying to pull the

understand that you can ground the L  terminal and it will output the
trouble codes.  Problem is..I'm not exactly sure where the data ...
