I've got a 95 Maxima GLE with about 135K miles on it. This past weekend while running some errands the car started lurching back and forth. I noticed the tach would hit 2000 rpms and then drop back a couple hundred. At first I thought it was the transmission going (automatic)

Hi, i'm new here, and have a question about the way someone assembeled the struts to the towers. I have a factory manual for my '84 Maxima wagon, and it says there is "white paint" in one of the three studs that mount the strut to the tower, and that the white ones should be in the ...

I have a 2003 Max SE with the Side air bags and the light on the dash is flashing and not going off all the sudden. Mess with it, not mess with it? If it's something simple I can check I'm all for it, anything to avoid a trip into the shop for a diagnostic even if it does have ...

After 10+ years, but only 90,000 km., and reading many articles here about the joys of throttle body cleaning, I decided to have at it this morning. Using motorvate's instructions it proved a breeze but, 1. After I finished and took it out for a test drive the CHECK light

The check engine light on my Maxima keeps coming on for a period of time (maybe a week or so) and then will turn off suddenly as I'm driving down the road, only to come on again in a few days later. I took the car to a service station to have it checked out and was told that no ...

My wife's remote control stopped working. Thinking it might be the battery, I switched it with mine. (Should have tested mine remote first.) Question: does changing the battery mean reprogramming? Thanks in advance.

| Let's talk fuel economy | 07 Sep 2005 08:17 GMT | 25 |
It's inevitable, so I'll start it off and hopefully make it useful for everyone. I have a 97 SE 5sp (141k miles) that doesn't get the same fuel economy it used to. No ECU codes. What are the silent fuel-eaters on this car? I'm aware of
