Recently my '01 Maxima's garage door opener button quit working.  When I

At the same time my keyless remote quit working. Also the trunk ...
Climate control pbls. on 2000 GLE30 Jan 2006 16:49 GMT2
For the longest time the automatic climate control on my 2000 GLE
wouldn't work as far as heat was concerned: it would only blow heat when
I would set it at 80 or so (in which case the car would get way too
hot!)

My 95 SE won't start, I just get tic tic tic when I turn the key. I've
been having starting issues lately, I had to turn the key several times
from the off to the start position before it would engage. This sounded
like a switch problem that was mentioned in the group, but the ...

Nissan Maxima Oxygen Sensor code26 Jan 2006 14:33 GMT2
1999 Nissan Maxima "Service Engine Soon" diagnostic code reported that
the O2 (Oxygen Sensor) on Bank 1" was in alarm. Online research for
Nissan parts suggested that my car may have 3 oxygen sensors (front,
center, & rear).
A/C control25 Jan 2006 13:30 GMT1
I have a 97 Maxima, standard A/C NOT climate control! When the buttons are
pressed to control air direction, they do not work. Air is routed thru the
dash vents and the floor vents only, no matter what button is selected.
I need to know if this is a vaccum or electrical control ...
87 Max update24 Jan 2006 20:21 GMT1
I finally got my car home! I got the car running. The only way I can get my
car to start is to pour some gas in the air intake and the car will start.
If I don't pour gas into the intake it will not start. It will not start
with mass air flow sensor plugged up. ($170.00 part) The ...
2001 Maxima Brake Rotor Removal24 Jan 2006 15:41 GMT9
How hard is it to remove and replace front brake rotors on an '01 Maxima.
I removed the caliper several months ago to check the pads but did not
look to see how to remove the rotor. Now the rotors need to be
turned/replaced.  I want to know if I do it myself.  Same question for
Nissan Maxima Knock Sensor22 Jan 2006 17:05 GMT5
I have a 1999 Nissan Maxima that report a knock sensor error code on
bank 1. My mechanic says it should be replace and it could cost about
$500 for parts and labor total. Knock sensor cost about $160 from
Nissan.  How hard is it to replace on my own? Do I need a mechanic or
Yikes! Change That Fluid.21 Jan 2006 23:42 GMT6
I was lookin' thru my records for my 95Max - and it seems - that I
have never had the transmission fluid replaced in all those years. So,
I started to read up on the topic and saw many allusions to a "power
flush" by several names and wondered if it was a worthwhile operation?
How to extend the life of my 93 GXE20 Jan 2006 19:16 GMT3
Now that I've got my timing belt and water pump replaced, along with the
other things in that region...  I'm wondering what else I can do to
extend the life of my 93GXE.
It's at 130K and I'd like to take it to twice that many miles.

at what time do you think it would be appropriate to replace my 1995 water
pump, have I been lucky so fare, or am I worrying for nothing?
if you have a 4th gen, at how many miles did yours go, or when did you
replace it?

Removing Crankshaft Pulley ('93 max gxe)17 Jan 2006 12:08 GMT5
Trying to change timing belt on my 93 Maxima, trying to get the
crankshaft pulley off.  Before I go wrenching on the center bolt, is
this a reverse-thread or normal bolt?  If memory serves, and if I'm
thinking right, it's reverse.  Am I correct?
