Hi People, The "Check Engine" light on my 97 maxima came on and when I read the error using an ECU error reader I got a P0105. I also noticed that my mileage dropped by 40 miles/tank. P0105 corresponds to MAP sensor

| Cost to replace Outer CV Boots (Both) | 15 Jan 2006 14:00 GMT | 3 |
On my recent oil change, they noticed that both the outer CV boots on my 99 Maxima GXE (72K miles) have torn and need to be replaced. My dealer gave me an estimate of $460 to replace both of them. I'm not sure if he is replacing the inner boots as well.

| Brakes ... | 14 Jan 2006 09:39 GMT | 1 |
I have '92 Nissan Maxima SE. The car has started "groaning" literally when I slow down (in the last couple of seconds before it comes to a halt). I am not sure how to describe the sound :) Sorry. On a level-road, sometimes I do not hear the sound - but most times I do.

Where's the best place to buy hood supports, the gas struts, about 12" long, which hold up the hood when open. The ones I have no longer support the hood. Al Moodie

| Brakes Squeel/Humm in Reverse on 98 Maxima | 12 Jan 2006 13:54 GMT | 7 |
I had a friend install some new brakes on the rear of a 1998 Maxima. Ever since, when you back up the brakes humm like a loud tuning fork. Best I can tell from internet is this is probably the parking brake being too tight.

| Stereo in Australian Maxima | 11 Jan 2006 10:45 GMT | 3 |
I have a 98 Maxima. I have a question about the factory stereo system. I'm not sure if it is the Bose that is mentioned in this group a lot (it doesn't say Bose anywhere, the car is an Australian model). It consists of a CD player unit mounted underneath a head unit. The head

I have a 93 SOHC and the spedometer started only working intermittantly, and then late last week stopped working altogether. Does anyone have any idea where the fault may lie. One other thing I noticed is that on my transmision type selector the "P"

| Opinions please | 10 Jan 2006 10:13 GMT | 22 |
I'm seriously considering purchasing the Maxima but would first like to hear from some owners on their experience; both positive and negative, if any, would be appreciated. I have driven both the SE and SL and don't feel that much of a difference

| P1320 Ignition Coil again..SES Light | 09 Jan 2006 23:35 GMT | 2 |
I have been reading up on the P1320 replace the ignition coils issue on the web and in this group. I just replaced the coils (super simple 1/2 hr max job( and am wondering should the SES go out or do I still need to take it someplace to have the code cleared?

| SES light still on | 09 Jan 2006 17:17 GMT | 3 |
I have a 2000 GXE and got the P1320 code when I went to emissions. I changed the ignition coils but I still get the SES light on. Is there a way to clear the system or do I need to take it someplace to have it turned off.
