Hi there, my stepson and I jut aquired a 93 Maxima for $500. Motor runs
great, body and interior are imacculate. One problem is the absense of a
transmission. This car had an automatic Tranny.
I wish to put in a 5 speed manual.  Is this possible? What else needs to
2003 Maxima Trunk Light29 Mar 2006 22:40 GMT1
The trunk light in my 03 Maxima stopped working earlier this week.  I
figured the bulb was blown so I replaced it, but the light still
doesn't work.  I'm guessing that there may be something wrong with the
switch.  I spent about 30 seconds in the dark looking for the switch,

Broken speedometer cable?28 Mar 2006 00:09 GMT2
Hello Group.  I have a situation in a '92 Maxima that seems fairly easy to
solve but I thought I'd ask for your near expert opinions.  My speedometer
has begun to run backwards.  At rest the needle is pegged on the right side
of the speedometer below the 120 mph marker.  When the ...
TSBs for 2004 Max27 Mar 2006 04:31 GMT2
I am looking for an online free source for 2004 Maxima Technical Service
Bulletins (TSB).
Any one know of any. I have looked at the Owens Family site and they seem to
have only one for the 2004.
87 Maxima-Flashing OIL CAN26 Mar 2006 09:15 GMT8
The water temp gauge has a 'oil can' symbol that is flashing mostly when
engine idles but sometimes when driving.  I think this  'flashing' is
indicating very low or zero oil pressure. The engine runs and sounds OK,
plenty of power,  no knocks, not like an engine sounds that is ...

The manual sliding sunshade on the inside of the moonroof has come off

1995 Maxima: Exhaust System Questions25 Mar 2006 01:53 GMT3
I have a 1995 Maxima with approximately 140,000 miles and is in great
overall condition.  The only non-routine maintaince done on it was a new
left & right front axel and a waterpump.  My exhaust sytem is all original.
I recently looked under the car and noticed the following:
Standard or Automatic25 Mar 2006 01:18 GMT6
Ok, of all you Maxima owners out there how many own a standard and how many
an auto?  I am considering buying one and initially wanted the 6 spd
standard but it is hard to find.  Most of them seem to be auto.  Should I
just go with an auto?  I like the standards just because they ...
03' Nissan Maxima eating oil24 Mar 2006 08:13 GMT13
I noticed there was a posting in here before about an 03' Maxima 6spd
eating oil - well I'm at 53K and mine is doing the same thing.  I don't
even think I'm barely getting over 1000 miles for a quart of oil
because I just had synthetic put in it 3K miles ago and I'm sure he put
