regarding the transmission diagnostic procedures,  the power light that
is supposed to be checked for a certain blinking sequence is located
where exactly?

My 95 Maxima appears to work flawlessly, well almost...
Over the last six month, the engine stopped 4 times while I was
waiting at a stop light.  Every time, I was able to restart it within
10 to 20 seconds... so I did not annoy other motorists.

I have the "mode" on my A/C set to hit face and feet.
Some times it reverts to just feet.
Wondered why.

Love my max hate to get rid of it but no reverse or drive with this
tranny,  only moves in 1 or 2.  Was thinking about installing  a used
JDM tranny for about $1000.  Anyone have any experience doing this?

I'm lookin at 2003 GLE and SE. One of the cars I have looked at, a GLE
has the navigation option. I know nothing about it. Anybody have any
comments, does the system work well, is it something I would find

I'm trying to get my 90 GXE ready for sale.
It has a slight hesitation only when the throttle is ever so slightly
pressed that the rpm's will drop to 300+/- and the engine sounds like it
will stall.  But when I press the throttle down more to accelerate harder,

Alternator died, I think. No charging amps going to the battery at idle.
Bought a new alternator but I am unsure of the easiest way to remove the old
one to have it bench-tested. Should I attack this project from below? Do I
need to remove anything other than the belt first?

Got a 99 GLE few months ago.  92K. Seems to run fine, but I wondered
about a noise it makes briefly after I shut off the ignition.  It's
kind of a sigh, or a groan.  

I have a full shop manual, but it is silent on whether the transmission can
be removed from below by itself, or from above with the engine attached.
Does anybody here know?
