This isn't earthshaking, but I've been curious why,
when I put the lights on, the time no longer shows.

Coasting Noise from 02' Maxima11 May 2008 17:35 GMT-
This is a new one.  I have a noise coming from my rear (at least I'm
like 85% sure) when I coast.  When I hit the accelerator and drive
normally the car makes no noise- when I let go of the gas and coast it
makes a hum/rubbing noise.  Nothing high pitched or anything, just a

Need new key -- 99 GLE10 May 2008 03:15 GMT5
I lost one of the two programmed keys that came with the car.
The dealer was quoting $100 or more to create another!
Can that be?
Any suggestions how to get this done more reasonably?
Terrible mileage 99 GLE09 May 2008 20:36 GMT27
Anybody suggest why?
I only put about 4K on the car since I bought it 1-3/4 years ago with
92K on it.  I mostly drive around town, but also take the freeway to
"blow it out".
2002 Maxima SE Tie Rods08 May 2008 02:36 GMT3
I have an 02' Maxima SE with 48,000 miles on it.  I was told that I
need both inner and outer tie rods which will cost about $300 a side.
Does anyone know if this is a common problem on these cars?  I don't
remember hearing that these had to get replaced so soon- I also didn't
96 GXE front end popping intermittently03 May 2008 00:32 GMT2
96 GXE (automatic), 126k.  Front end brakes were recently redone,
calipers are free & clean too.  axles/CV's have both been done in the
last 12k miles (drivers side done probably 5-6k ago), so i dont
suspect them.
2002 Maxima Steering Shimmy Above 50 MPH03 May 2008 00:28 GMT6
I just purchased a 2002 Maxima SE with 45,000 miles on it.  It had new
brakes, rotors, and pads at the time.  I thought that the tires were
mis-balanced so I had them re-balanced but I still have a slight
shimmy in the steering above 50 mph but below 70 mph.  I don't know
2000 Maxima Remote02 May 2008 23:09 GMT1
Sometimes my remote opens the doors from considerably further away than
other times - I sometimes have to be within 6 feet or so while others I can
be 20 feet or more. And yes, I did change the battery.
Any suggestions?
1999 Nissan Maxima noise while driving02 May 2008 21:50 GMT9
Most cars, as brake pads worn out, usually gets noise when hitting
brake but my 99 Maxima is vice versa.  I hear the squeezing nosie
while driving but the noise stops when I apply brake.  Anyone knows
what cause this problem?
