I lost one of the two programmed keys that came with the car. The dealer was quoting $100 or more to create another! Can that be? Any suggestions how to get this done more reasonably?

Anybody suggest why? I only put about 4K on the car since I bought it 1-3/4 years ago with 92K on it. I mostly drive around town, but also take the freeway to "blow it out".

I have an 02' Maxima SE with 48,000 miles on it. I was told that I need both inner and outer tie rods which will cost about $300 a side. Does anyone know if this is a common problem on these cars? I don't remember hearing that these had to get replaced so soon- I also didn't

96 GXE (automatic), 126k. Front end brakes were recently redone, calipers are free & clean too. axles/CV's have both been done in the last 12k miles (drivers side done probably 5-6k ago), so i dont suspect them.

I just purchased a 2002 Maxima SE with 45,000 miles on it. It had new brakes, rotors, and pads at the time. I thought that the tires were mis-balanced so I had them re-balanced but I still have a slight shimmy in the steering above 50 mph but below 70 mph. I don't know

Sometimes my remote opens the doors from considerably further away than other times - I sometimes have to be within 6 feet or so while others I can be 20 feet or more. And yes, I did change the battery. Any suggestions?

Most cars, as brake pads worn out, usually gets noise when hitting brake but my 99 Maxima is vice versa. I hear the squeezing nosie while driving but the noise stops when I apply brake. Anyone knows what cause this problem?
