My beloved 280ZX ( 1983 2+2, auto ) has recently started to splutter ever so
slightly at low rpm off the mark..until i get the accelerator about half way
down...then it seem to completely smooth out....it also seems to be a bit
heitant during this stage as well...

Whats the maximum hp I can possibly get safe with these Nissan if I
install some mid-expensive NOS kit?!? I aim for 200-250 hp, is this
possible?!? Is this car worth $15.000?!?

One headlight works on dim the other works on bright.But only one
works.Drivers side works on dim turn to bright the other one comes on and
the other shuts off

I have a 1990 300ZX 2+2 with 176K miles on it --- the catalytic
converters are the originals.  Of late, I am getting tremendous heat
under the hood (and it seems to come from the bottom of the car and
just in front of the passenger compartment)  and I sometimes smell

I have a 1970 240Z (restored) and a few years ago distilled water was
used in the radiator instead of
tap water.

My 71 240 with an automatic transmission was manufactured in Oct
1970. If my research is correct, that is the first month they made
240's with automatics. Anyone know what serial number was the first
with an automatic or where i can find out how far down the line mine

Background (for the public):
Steve emailed me & offered to sell me a thermostat housing for $20. I
didn't know if that was a bare housing or if it came with the sensor(s) I
need, so I wrote back & said I thought that was a *tad* high (my exact

Recently the car behaves a little bit strange:
1) It hesitates a lot between 2000 to 2800 RPM, especially on second
and third gear. Feel like someone is playing the gas paddle. After

I unpluged the air bag connector on the driver seat. re-connected and now
the air bag warning light is blinking at me. disconnect battery cable for
1-hour, light continues to blink. any one know how to reset the computer.
Dealer says there is a $100 fee for reset.

I need to find which wire (color?) runs to that sending unit on the
engine. Wiring my V8 Z & can't find it.
Also: Steve, do you have the '80 model thermostat housing that I needed to
put my '80 engine in my '83 (from a previous post)? What about a new clutch

I ask 'cause I've started the Cabrio project, & the Fiero rear cradle I'm
using has FWD componets, which would allow me to adapt 4 wheel steering (&
because I'm crazy!).

minutes consistently and then die.

Alright, I bought a 1987 Nissan 300ZX Turbo, its got 90,000 miles on it, the
list of things I have to do is thus, and would like some input of other
important things to have checked out while I'm at it....
Already changed the air filter... it was dried out and I could put my finger

My dealer says there is rumor that the '05's will have a supercharged engine
option. Anyone know if this is fact or fiction?
