Check the condition of the chain/lift device that secures the spare tire
especially if you haven't used the spare in a while. The chain in my '98

After testing an oxygen sensor for resistance
the heater circuit reads 24,000,000 ohm. Normally

smoke. About 30 000KM ago, the nissan dealer diagnosed and replaced an
O2 sensor and it has run fine since.

I wonder if this is normal, When I step on the gas to pass a slower vehicle,
