The upper timing chain guide broke on my Altima. It appears to have caused no other damage to the engine. Two repair shops have estimated 1560 and 1800 dollars to repair the timing chain.

Just picked up a nice 240SX for not much, it was a steal. There are, of course, a few minor issues - always are with used cars. For one thing, it desperately needs oil. But the oil cap appears to be stuck fast, won't budge even a tiny bit. Any suggestions about what to do? ...

I purchased this truck last week. Previous owner had destroyed the insides; grease all over carpet and seats. I scrubbed and cleaned the carpet and seats then started the truck and turned on the heater to help dry it out. Truck was running fine for about 30 minutes in the driveway ...

The accelerator on my 2002 Sentra is hard to press from idle. Once you press hard enough to move the accelerator it is easy. But it is tough to start off slowly because you have to press so hard to get the accelerator to move.
