Hey-- Okay--the stalwart Nissan flunked the state inspection, dammit, and I'm gonna have to fix it. The emissions report says bad EGR valve and speedo sensor unit.

Start up truck cold. Trucks idles up a little. Once truck warms up, idle kicks down.. Then it will idle up each time you slow down and shift into 1 or 2. You have to gas it a little to get the idle to come down.

A friend of mine is selling a Nissan Pathfinder that he purchased in Oct. 99 and he told me that due to the month it was purchased, it's really a year 2000 model. Is this true or is it still a 1999 model? Thanks.

I only have 54,000 miles and the service engine light is on. Autozone said excessive flow on egr valve. I have looked online and the web has said the passages need cleaned, common problem among 4 cyl. I called the dealer, they said between 300-600 dollars. Is this correct or

3 maxima's, 89,93,94 all developed the same transmission problem. There is no movement in any of the gears. Its as if the transmission is in neutral. Its hard to beleive the trans is bad because all of the gears quit at the same time. Help!

Thinking about getting new battery before winter sets in. Just wondering what the consensus is about the dealer replacing it with a Nissan battery (if there is such a thing) or going the Sears route. I expect to hold onto car for a good number of years.
