My 92 Maxima front struts are very worn... Is replacing them a big job for the shadetree mechanic? I am assuming I need a Nissan part, no afermarket suppliers? Any gotcha or must-have tool(s).

After a fair rain or dizzle my 2.4l 4x4 is missing on throttle rpm range approx. 1500 to 3000 rpm. After about five minutes all is ok. ECC reports no problems.
