Is it reasonable for me to maintenance my 92 Pathfinder 4x4 front bearings? I am a weekend warrior competent enough to replace brakes, hoses, alternators. With the manual at my side and decent set of tools, is this a hard job for the novice on the 92 Pathy?

My '03 Pathy has a recurring 'Service Engine Soon' warning. The on-board comp. readout indicates a gas cap problem, but the cap appears to be fine. Anybody have any idea what else might cause this indicator?

i was test driving this model for a friend, and it sounds like it has a valvetrain roaring noise. the noise is at idle and goes away while accelerating and at speed while driving, but is pretty bad at idle. the valves aren't ticking and oil level is good, its justa strange

Let's say the suggested replacement of motor oil is 3000 miles or 3 months. I put less than 4000 miles on my truck a year (1997 PU with 47,800 miles, about 1 year of that time commuting some 80 miles a day). So what if I adhere to the 3000 mile mark rather than the 3 month mark,
