| '93 Nissan Sentra speedometer/odometer/cruise doesn't work | 21 Jan 2005 02:17 GMT | 3 |
Just had the clutch replaced in a nice fixer-upper by my local mechanic who works out of his garage. Since then the above stated problem. My mechanic says the sensor needs to be replaced. The coincidental timing could be just that; or could the

| 3.5 L Pathfinder MPG | 21 Jan 2005 01:27 GMT | 5 |
I'm curious about the real world fuel comsumption owners are getting on the 3.5 L Pathfinders. Will owners please reply with their average readings? Please include a guess as to the mix of highway and local driving. Thanks in advance,

| 96 Sentra... Changed head gasket, lost compression... why? | 21 Jan 2005 01:07 GMT | 2 |
I have a 96 Nissan Sentra and I have been having overheating problems. From my diagnosis, I determined that it was a blown head gasket. After changing the head gasket and putting everything back together, I can't get the car started. I did a compression test and found that

| "take off" wheels? | 20 Jan 2005 12:21 GMT | 6 |
I backed my car into my friend's brand-new Murano. Of course I'm going to pay for her repairs, but I scratched one of the wheels. The dealer wants to charge $671.00 for *one* new wheel. That is ridiculous!

I've got a 99 Altima with an odd sound to it while accelerating. It's a regular thrumming, sort of "fluttery" sound. My 94 has a very similar sound as well, but a bit more harsh I think (due to less sound deadening maybe), so it could very well be normal. I'd really like to know ...

The fuel and temperatue gauges in my 86 pickup just went dead. They had worked fine until today. I could not find a fuse for them. The owners and shop manuals offer little advise. Any help would be appreciated.

| Broken Tach, Need replacement | 17 Jan 2005 06:34 GMT | 3 |
My tach needle just sits at 8000 rpm. On long drives, it starts to change values, but the displayed values are not correct. I'm getting about 20 mpg on the highway. I don't think the tach is passing incorrect info to the ECC (indicated by wiring diagram), but I'm not sure.

| New car corrosion prevention/undercoating | 16 Jan 2005 21:13 GMT | 1 |
I'm planning on buying and 05 Xterra when they come out. I'd like to be proactive about preventing frame rot, since I'm hoping to keep the car for 10+ years. I live in north east Mass, and road salt (and maybe the salty air since I live near the ocean) became an issue with my

| 93 4x4 pickup clutch problems | 16 Jan 2005 21:09 GMT | 1 |
my son has a 93 4x4 that the clutch is acting up on. The clutch feels fine with no slipage but it grinds in almost every gear at a stop. A repair shop replaced the master and slave saying they were bypassing but we still have the same problem. Now they are saying the "clutch ...
