Bad dsashboard light rheostat?06 Oct 2006 17:06 GMT1
I have a'95 Sentra. The radio light has been out for awhile & the black
LED characters for time/station are illegible (maybe because the light
is out?). Anyway, my question is abt the dashboard dimmer switch. Until
recently it was a little squirelly. The dashbaord light would be off
1995 Nissan Altima Weird Problem06 Oct 2006 16:05 GMT3
If I drive it until it's warmed up, it's like the timing goes all to hell.
First it starts with a dead spot around 2K RPM. It just starts sputtering
and missing when you hit 2K RPM.  The problem progresses until it starts
missing and sputtering at lower and lower RPM, and I have ...

Looking to buy this car...maybe.  I haven't viewed this problem myself
yet.  2nd hand info.
Apparently the speedo twitches and jumps and spazzes.  That's the cable
hanging, right?
Braking Help05 Oct 2006 04:39 GMT2
Rear Caliper, 94, Nissan Primera 2.0 Auto, rear disk brakes.
Handbrake on the rear is controlled with a handbrake cable, but I
understand there's a handbrake lever on the rear caliper with a spring.
I've been trying to grasp the interplay between the foot pedal,
Altima creak/clunk on accel/decel05 Oct 2006 01:15 GMT1
I've been noticing a slight creak/clunking sound from the right front of
my 99 Altima (106,000 km) lately.  I had someone else sit in the car and
rock it back and forth today, and it's definitely coming from that wheel.
It happens as the clutch starts to bite, and once it's ...

Nissan Quest CV boot leaking03 Oct 2006 00:52 GMT9
I recently took my Quest to get an oil change and the mechanic told me that I
had to change the fuel filter.  But when I got home and checked the "check-
up" page he gave me of a mini inspection they did to the car --- the paper
said that my CV boot was leaking and that both axles ...
How to remove altima speed sensor - altima 98 automatic 2.4l01 Oct 2006 21:22 GMT1
I think i have located the sensor on top of the transaxle case. So you
access it from the upside near the middle of the engine.
I have removed the bolt but was not able to remove the sensor.
How should i remove it (it turns but does not come to me).

'93 Sentra XE drive axles -- How tough a job to replace them?01 Oct 2006 20:13 GMT1
Re-introducing m'self.  I'm the guy who "forgot to change the oil."  The
cooler weather is here now, so I changed the erl.
Now it's time to tackle the CV Joints, if I dare.  I've worked on
previous cars I owned, and the Haynes manual (yep) makes it look easy,
