I am finding it impossible to get to the knock sensor on my altima?
Should I remove parts to get to it,
or break down and take car to auto shop?

I just bought a 95 pathfinder(auto. trans, 4wd) with only 87k miles on
it.  in the past few days I felt the a noticable jerk while it shifts
from 1st to 2nd, there's , especially on a very gentle acceleration,
but it's very smooth from 2nd to 3rd.  does this indicate a potential

I just bought  a new Nissan altima 2006 and I want to know when it's
recommended the first oil
change (at 500 Miles, 1000 or 3750 ) ??
Do I have to put syntetic oil?

 I've got a 99 Altima with a strange problem.  The running lights suddenly
are lit dimly when I have them turned off at the turn signal / headlight
switch.  They operate properly when I actually turn them on with the switch
however, and work fine when I turn on the hazards or ...

Any way to change the coolant in my 2003 Pathfinder without removing
the lower radiator hose?  Radiators used to come with drain fittings,
but they were removed to save $$$ for the factory, no one worries about
the end user.

My 2000 Nissan Altima power steering pump was very noisy ,the pump was
changed for rebuilt and noise was gone 3 weeks later it started again
,but only when cold and it is not as noisy as before.
Power steering fluid is clean, all the line are in good shape and power

I have a 2000 Nissan frontier that needs the timing checked/adjusted
before I take to to be smogged.  It's the 3.3L V6 engine.
How do I stop the PCM from adjusting the timing automatically so that I
can set it manually with a timing light?

My car's been acting strange of late. On the rpm gage, from idle to
about 2500 rpms it feels fine, quite strong actualy. But at about
2700-3000 it gets "confused." it accelerates to 2950 rpms, then backs

HI, The dealer says that my car needs front struts changed.My car has
85000 kms on it. Does Nissan cover struts under Powertrain warranty or
lifetime warranty?

I have just seen two brand new Nissan Altima's in BETA TESTING today 1
pm right on PCH in Santa Monica.  They were heading north bound.  The
Nissan Logo on the front was covered with black electrical tape and the
Nissan Logo on the rear trunk simply hadn't been put on yet.
