I have an 83 cutlass. I would like to make the vehicle a bit faster, so I will be changing to a olds 350 however I am wondering if I can get by with changing the gear in the differential, or do I need a full rear end? If this is the case can I pull a rearend from any G-Body?

I'm having a problem with my '90 Cutlass (4-speed auto w/OD). When it's cold, it won't shift out of 1st gear, but after driving it a bit (slowly on side streets), it begins to warm up and eventually starts shifting normally (actually this doesn't take too long).

I have an 83 cutlass that has the shift at the sterring wheel. I would like to convert this to a floor shift, I have a console from a 77 cutlass. How realistic is this to be accomplished? What kinda of problems will I run into, and what all do I need to complete this task?

Does it affect all 4 disc brakes or only the front? Is rust build up on brakes a common problem? Thanks for any info.
