I have an Olds Intrigue 2000. The headlight flicker alot and the fan switch stays on when I turn it to high. Any Ideas how to fix?

Have seen posts in various places about setting idle mixture on the Rochester Quadrajet and have noted that any number of ppl talk about lightly bottoming the idle screws and then turning them out until it runs right, etc... Have seen many of them mention that they set the screws ...
