I’m hoping someone may know where I can find a better
book/manual/instructions for  changing a blown head gasket on my car .
Its a 92 achieva 2.3 quad 4 sohc.  I had a terrible time getting the
timing chain cover off.  Am I missing some trick or? Can this be done

My car won't start and the mechanic said I need an upper intake manifold.  I
have never heard of a whole manifold going bad.  Is this possible?  He
wanted $500 to fix it, so I wanted some time to see if he is telling the
truth.

What damage will happen from having push rods installed incorrectly?

So, seeing the large number of people reporting that their Alero blower
fans weren't operating in the lower positions, I was able to figure out
that I probably have a partially fried resistor, and should change it
out.

Just had gaskets replaced for blown intake, the mechanic might have
reinstalled the pushrods in wrong places and now runs rough, stalls, makes
loud tapping sound and will emit a strange smell periodically, is this all
related to the push rods being incorrect?

i just bought a 1989 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight, 4 door, 3.8 liter, V8. I
havent driven it in since last summer. When i was driving it last summer, i
noticed that there is a slight miss while driving, or even when it is just
sitting at idle. If it goes over 50mph or you drive it longer ...

I just put a rebuilt 3.8L "B" engine in my car, it has an erratic idle
speed, the IAC is new. I think my problem is the TPS. the set voltage of
40 to 44 millivolts is right when cold but when the engine is operating
temp the voltage has raised to 50 - 51 millivolts. Can anyone tell ...

The hoses seem fine, the fans turn on, but I seem to have a lot of coolant
leacking from the passanger side of the the engine.  It seems to leak more
as soon as I turn the car off.  Could it be the water pump?  How hard is
that to change?  Thanks in advance.

to amke this quick i have a similar prob. 3 days ago i stalled while
driving. although i would not start back up. i had to wait 10 mins or so.
kept doing it every so often for next 2 days. today when i broke down we
checked fuel filter and it was extremely clogged couldnt blow ...

does anyone know where to fill up the transmission fluid in a 2001 alero?
or does anyone know of any good sites that can tell me this stuff, or give
me diagrams or something...cause i need to put some transmission fluid in
my car, any help would be appreciated...thanks!

Well we’ve replaced the positive battery cable (it was completely
corroded from the inside out), had the battery checked and it’s fine
and just replaced the starter. My car is still not starting properly.
It will start for a few days with no problems and then all of a sudden

i just got a 86 delta 88 and im having problems with the idle....when
i start it the idle is high and stays high, and doesnt kick down
unless i let it warm up then shut off the car and restart it, then its
fine...what could be my problem here ?

I have changed map sensor plugs map sensor seemed to take care of the
problem for about 5 miles then same thing seems not to have any take off
powre at all also changed fuel filter no codes shown eveything normal on
the scanner so I do not no where else to look other then ecm or ...
