Is the 3.4 V6 engine in the 03 Alero an interference engine or not?

I've got an old Olds that everytime I turn on the heater or defroster
the headlights pop. When I inspect the the lights or light (sometimes
its just one light) the bulb has literally popped. What the hell is
wrong with this car ? This is gettng expensive buying headlights.

The son of a friend has a 92 Olds with the 3300 engine.  Recently the
serpentine belt jumped off.  He replaced the belt and the tensioner and the
belt now rides over the back (nearest the engine) flange of the harmonic
balancer pulley.  We can't see an obvious problem and would ...
