faulty 306 brakes?05 Dec 2003 14:25 GMT1
306 DTurbo 1998 with ABS:
before the MOT the brakes were quite good. not much peddle travel, front end
dipped, hard braking on water/ice caused the peddle to vibrated (ABS) etc
At the MOT the dealer said the compensator was faulty. They 'freed' it off
106 Diesel Injection Pump Solenoid05 Dec 2003 14:12 GMT2
Hi,I am currently trying to replace the TUD3 diesel engine in a 1993
Peugeot 106 with a post-`98 TUD5 engine (to hopefully avoid the engine
liner problems which ruined the TUD3!)The TUD3 has a Lucas injection
pump, and the replacement a Bosch pump. Very little information is
1995(N) 306 Dturbo Idle Speed04 Dec 2003 17:17 GMT1
A while back I posted a message asking if my idle speed was too high on my

according to the rev counter)
The main point from this discussion was to check the thermostat to see if it

I've just got a 307 110bhp HDi, but it doesn't feel as fast and as
willing to accelerate as my old 306 90bhp HDi, especially in the
mid-range.  I've read about 'chipping' where the ECU is altered to
give a better performance.  If anyone has had this done, I would

OT BEER04 Dec 2003 12:15 GMT4
A Sound Theory on the Virtue of Beer
A herd of buffalo can move only as fast as
the slowest buffalo. When the herd is hunted,
it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back
306 Heated Screen Wiring Problem03 Dec 2003 15:38 GMT3
I have a Peugoet 306 Sedan (Saloon Version), and the heated screen was
working from time to time, now it's stopped working completely.
I have changed the relay and the switch without success, the wire from
the relay and to the rear screen changes colour (Red Wire/Yellow Wire)
Peugeot Service02 Dec 2003 21:22 GMT9
I just had the 30,000 mile service done on my 206 LXD and was charged ?150
for the pleasure.
I was amazed when I was told they wanted another ?55 to adjust the
handbrake!  (They stated that they also clean everything for that.)
306 Electricals02 Dec 2003 18:58 GMT3
I've just bought a '93 306 XR.  I know about the more common electrical problems but this ones a bit strange.  When I put it in reverse not only does the reversing light not come on, but the dashboard stop light and overheat light on the temperature gauge come on very dimly (not ...
[307] Mileometer discrepancy02 Dec 2003 06:35 GMT13
I read here a couple of weeks ago that people were seeing discrepancies
between their mileometer and trip counters.  Having just taken delivery of a
new 307 SE HDI 110, I've also noticed such a problem.  Typically, an extra
two miles is added to the mileometer per journey (despite ...
Update: 305 brakes02 Dec 2003 00:54 GMT6
Just a quick update to anyone who read my 'this isn't fun anymore' post. The
problem with the brakes turned out to be the master cylinder - I checked the
rear shoes and they were fine.
Changing the master cylinder wasn't a problem - bleeding the brakes was! The

If i leave it running and standing, or am in traffic or whatever and get the
fan to come on, then it blows pretty warm, but not hot like it used to, and
