I own a 406 2.0 16V. Last week the power of the engine is dropped in the
high revs. When you drive slow, everything is as normal, but if you need
more than 3000 revs the engine is gaining refs very slow.
What can be wrong?

I have a '93 Rover 418 TDI that has the Peugeot sourced XUD-9A Diesel engine fitted.
Yesterday the car wouldnt shut off despite taking the key out.  I now stall to stop.  I figure it is the fuel pump solenoid being stuck open and not closing off.
Do I hav to get this replaced or ...

My 98 Peugeot 406 Glx does not have a CD changer bt the radio is equiped for
accepting one.  Does anyone know whether the cable for the CD changer is
likely to have been fitted & if so how do I get to it.

I have a peugeot 205 Diesel. There is a rumbling noise audible at all
speeds which is coming from the front left hand side. I suppose this
means that the wheel bearing needs replcing. I have a donor car and
was wondering whether it would be easier to replace the whole hub with

   My 405 GTX 1.9 TD Estate, '94 on the L, 94,000 miles on the clock,
failed the MOT on high emissions recently (5.3, and black smoke was strongly
in evidence when the mech blipped the loud-pedal, so it's gen). Average MPG

Anybody have any idea on what the life of a 406 brake disc should be?  It's
a 2.1 HDi estate, R reg, used 50/50 round town, rural driving.
The dealership are saying 6000 miles.

I posted a while back about my coolant warning light coming on, the level
does seem to be dropping over  a period of weeks/miles. I can't see any lose
hoses etc. I was thinking of running some of that stop leak addittive
through the system. Anyone got any ideas what the problem ...

I have had similar problems with my fans on my 205 TD.
It was the thermal switch mounted on the radiator that had failed. I have
had several over recent years, and after getting sick of keep swapping them
I have replaced the Peugeot switch with two thermal switches I bought from

I have been a silly s*d and disconnected my rear speakers on my 306 parcel
shelf..........
How can you tell which is the positive (+ve) and which is the negative (-ve)
wire? Can anyone tell me what colour is for what speaker and terminal?
