Bloody Dealers18 Aug 2004 11:32 GMT6
I've just had my 406 into the main dealership here in Newcastle for
the 12,000 mile service.
When I booked it in I mentioned the fact that the mileage trip for the
next service hadn't been reset at the first service.
Gear knob on 40617 Aug 2004 22:29 GMT3
OK, here's one that is probably fiendishly easy, but it doesn't tell
me how to do it in my Haynes manual: how does one remove the gearknob
from a 406?  I've read that it's just pushed on, but I'm sceptical:
I'm no weakling and I can't get it to budge an inch.  I also know it's
central lock 206 cc17 Aug 2004 22:26 GMT1
The central lock system of my 206 cc locks the trunk, but it fails to unlock
it together with the doors. It always has to be opened seperately with the
key. This seems to be normal, but is there a way to make it open together
with the doors?
106 Diesel Lack of Power17 Aug 2004 22:10 GMT10
I recently purchased a Peugeot 106 1.5 Diesel with 150k on the clock. This
is my second 106 Diesel, the other I owned some years ago.
The problem I'm experiencing at the moment is a severe lack of power (or
to be more precise torque). The car seems ok on the motorway until you
Peugeot 306 - K Light again..17 Aug 2004 20:33 GMT7
Hiya,
I have a P reg 1.6 306 Meridian.  When running the engine without any
acceleration, so just cruising at 30 or so in 5th gear, and I turn on
the air-con or fans, the K light appears after a few seconds. It then
307 HDI reset service distance counter17 Aug 2004 19:33 GMT5
I'd like to reset service distance counter in my Peugeot 307 1.4HDI 2002.
Is 307's ECU OBDII complaisant? Which protocol peugeot 307 use? I guess
it's ISO9141 but I'm not sure :(
Which soft do you use to connect PC<->ECU? (eg. for read&clear
307 CC17 Aug 2004 16:15 GMT4
Does anyone have one of these ? Are they any good ? blokes or womans Car???
I think the 206cc is the womans personally
Ideas?
Why do petrol cars have vacuum pumps?17 Aug 2004 07:40 GMT85
My Citroen Xsara VTS (cf. Peugeot 306 Gti) has an exaust cam driven
vacuum pump betwixt inlet manifold and servo. I can't see how a
situation could arise where there was insufficient vacuum unless you
drove foot-flat to the floor and controlled your speed purely with the
406 erratic idling16 Aug 2004 23:04 GMT2
I have a problem with my 1997 2.0 auto 406.
Sometimes the idle is very erratic, and it sometimes cuts out completely.
This seems to happen most often after a fast run, eg at a roundabout coming
off the motorway.
307 SW HDI Flywheel Split ?16 Aug 2004 14:49 GMT8
My Fathers SW has been taken off the road with just 20000 Miles on the
clock. It appears that the flywheel has split. I think I'm correct in
thinking that the flywheel on these cars has a damping unit on it so I
guess one of the dampers had come lose or a spring has broken. Anyhow
205 GTi brakes and Seats16 Aug 2004 09:32 GMT6
HELP... I've just taken my 1.9 GTi for its MoT and it failed on inefficiency
of the rear brakes and the front seats.
A couple of weeks ago I replaced the pads, but the car hasn't been driven to
bed them in.
Radio wiring diagram15 Aug 2004 15:39 GMT3
Please help,
I own a 306 1,9LXTD and require a wiring diagram (there's no wiring diagram
in the Hayne's manual) to fit my new radio. The radio has the new standard
fit socket leads on the back.
Dash access15 Aug 2004 14:26 GMT2
What is the best method to access the front passenger-door wiring loom
(behind the dash) on a '98 306?
I ask, because I've discovered that one of the speaker cable terminals
(just one, tested the other OK with a cable-tester) has become
Selling 306 2.0 HDi GLX15 Aug 2004 10:18 GMT1
I'm going to part exchange my March  Y reg 306 2.0 HDi GLX for a seven
seater as the twins have arrived.  Top of the range and it has all the
extras wish I could afford to keep it as the second car.   Being offered
between ?6250 and ?6500 by different dealers is this a good price?
Should I buy a peugeot??14 Aug 2004 14:07 GMT24
I currently drive a ford KA 2 T reg and I am looking to get something else
around the ?7000 mark.
I really like the look of the 206 and was wondering if I buy one, which
model should I go for?
